Scottish Highlands

Today we took a driving trip to the Highlands. We looked at tours but couldn’t find one that did what we wanted so we decided to tackle it on our own. That way we could stop where we wanted. We went to Loch Lomond and Glen Etive, and Glencoe and then we just drove. We saw incredible mountains and wide lakes. We took a slow drive down a very windy one car width road to see some incredible views. Unfortunately slow driving did stop us from hitting all the things on our list today (plus a turn in the weather to rain this afternoon didn’t help) so we called it quits around dinner time. We are spending the night in Fort William in the Highlands because tomorrow we ride the Jacobite/Harry Potter train and it leaves early morning.

Loch Lomond is the largest expanse if fresh water in Britain. It is also deeper than the North Sea

We saw a few Highland Cows (Helian Coos), but not as many as we thought.  They are pretty cute with their long hair.
So this was a scene in the James Bind movie Skyfall. We are recreating it. 😊. See the comments for the scene from the movie
